As I’ve grown over the years, O has grown with me. She has shifted, adapted, and evolved while always staying true to her essence. Her journey has been a reflection of my own artistic and personal growth, an evolving canvas that captures emotions, energy, and self-discovery. The evolution of O is not just about art, but about how a character can transform alongside its creator.
The First Sketches: The Origin of O’s Evolution
When O first appeared, she was simple—just four circles and a face full of emotion. She took inspiration from an old Russian roly-poly doll, a symbol of resilience. That toy always popped back up no matter how many times someone pushed it down. I wanted to bring that idea to life through my own artistic lens. The first version of O felt fun, expressive, and modern. From the start, she carried deep meaning and emotion.
I remember sketching those first versions, never expecting anyone else to see them. O was just for me—a private reflection of my thoughts and emotions. It wasn’t about creating something to share; it was about capturing something I felt deeply inside. Would they understand what I was trying to say through such a simple design? Over time, I stopped worrying about those things and let O guide me. She became an extension of my creativity, my emotions, and my experiences. The evolution of O had begun, even before I realized it.
Discovering Expression: The Emotional Evolution of O
From the start, I wanted O to be a character that would make people smile. As our journey progressed, I realized that whenever I sat down to start a new design or painting, I was channeling my own emotions into her. Whatever I was going through at the time found its way into O’s journey. The evolution of O became deeply intertwined with my own personal growth.
At some point, I started changing her eyes, adjusting her mouth, and evolving all the expressions and facial elements to align with the soul of each new piece. This opened up an entirely new way of creating for me. I wasn’t just drawing O—I was infusing her with my own emotions, making her a true reflection of my artistic and personal growth.
From the beginning, I knew O’s expressions would be her most powerful feature. Even with minimal details, I wanted her emotions to be unmistakable—joy, curiosity, determination, and everything in between. A small shift in her eyes or mouth could completely change the mood of a piece. Her eyelashes and winged eyeliner have also evolved since the first drawing. The shape of her eyes, the thickness of her liner, and the angle of her lashes all transform her energy. Sometimes she wears bold, dramatic makeup, and other times, her eyes appear softer and more delicate. Each choice adds personality and emotion, making O feel alive and ever-changing, just like the emotions she represents.
Playing with Symbolism: The Hidden Layers in O’s Design
As I studied energy work, I started adding antennae to O’s head. These represent the exchange of energy—giving and receiving. Some days, they reach outward, connecting with the universe. Other days, they stay tucked away. This small detail became a signature element, reminding me of the unseen forces that link us all. The evolution of O’s design has allowed me to explore deeper layers of meaning in my artwork.
Beyond the antennae, I started incorporating other subtle symbols into O’s world. The way she interacts with the environment, the celestial elements that often surround her, and the placement of certain design choices all hold meaning. O’s world is never random—it is a carefully constructed space that reflects the energy of each piece.
O in Different Worlds: How Her Universe Has Expanded
Over time, I began asking myself, “Where else does O exist?” This led me to place her in different settings, expanding her universe. Sometimes she appears in dreamy landscapes filled with stars and moons. Other times, she interacts with nature, floats underwater, or surrounds herself with abstract patterns. No matter where she is, her shape remains the same, but her presence adapts to each new world. The evolution of O has extended beyond her design—it has shaped the very environments she inhabits.
Each world she inhabits represents a different energy, a different state of mind. When she floats in water, it symbolizes fluidity and surrender. When she stands beneath a glowing moon, it speaks to intuition and mystery. O is more than a character—she is a storyteller, a vessel for emotion and energy.
The Present & Future of O: Where Her Evolution Is Headed
Today, O continues to evolve. She has taken on new expressions, new movements, and deeper meaning. What started as a simple sketch has grown into a character that embodies resilience, adaptability, and the full spectrum of human emotion. And just like me, she keeps changing, keeps learning, and keeps discovering new ways to exist in the world. The evolution of O is ongoing, and I am excited to see where she takes me next.
Looking back at O’s journey, I see each version as a reflection of where I was at the time. I love seeing how she has grown, and I can’t wait to see where she goes next. I know she will continue to surprise me, challenge me, and inspire new creative directions.
