About Alla K: Artist & Designer Creating Characters with Soul

Alla K. is a Brooklyn-based female artist whose work lives at the intersection of pop surrealism, visionary art, and playful character-based storytelling. Her art blends imagination and meaning—often centering expressive figures that reflect inner strength, transformation, and curiosity, a signature of her character-driven style.

Inspired by the energy of New York City and her experience as the daughter of immigrants who arrived in 1980, Alla creates bold, narrative-rich work that weaves together fashion, symbolism, and soul.

A largely self-taught artist, she has explored creative mediums throughout her life—from sketching and painting to digital design and fashion. With over two decades in the fashion industry, she honed a sharp eye for color, texture, and emotional storytelling. Today, those skills shape a visual language that continues to evolve across her growing body of artwork.

At the center, an abstract pyramid is covered in small symbols, including hearts, angel numbers, arrows, an evil eye, and a feather. At the bottom of the canvas, O’s head peeks into the scene, as if witnessing or existing within a dream.

The Evolution of O: A Character with Soul

O: A Vision, A Symbol, A Journey – More Than Just a Character

Alla K. began her creative journey in the late 1990s with a formal education in fashion design, which laid the foundation for a successful career in the industry. But her path as an artist took a transformative turn during the pandemic lockdown—a time of deep introspection and creative rebirth.

It was during this stillness that O came to life—a modern-day figure inspired by resilience, balance, and the inner strength we carry through life’s ups and downs. Through this evolution, my work began to center on character-based art—symbols in motion that reflect personal transformation and emotional depth. More than just a character, O became a reflection of Alla’s personal journey and an ever-evolving symbol of curiosity, transformation, and emotional truth.

Art, Growth & Being Seen

Explore My Character-Based Art Journey

I’ve always believed that everyone has something unique to share with the world—for me, that something is art. Whether I’m showing work in a gallery, creating in my studio, or pausing to soak in a quiet moment of inspiration, each experience becomes part of my journey as a female artist in New York.

Putting both myself and my artwork out into the world hasn’t always come easy. I’ve had to move through self-doubt and stretch beyond my comfort zone. But embracing the process—messy, magical, and everything in between—has led me to a place of deeper creative expression, empowerment, and joy.

Through my art, I hope to connect, uplift, and share a piece of that journey with you. Whether it’s a dreamy landscape, a bold character like O, or a symbol tucked quietly in the background, every piece reflects the path I’m walking.

Thanks for being part of the adventure.

Living Art

Each of my characters has her own spark, her own story, and her own emotional truth to share.

This body of character-based art is more than visual—it’s an emotional conversation. They’re more than illustrations—they’re living symbols of transformation, emotion, and the journey inward. Through this body of character-based art, I aim to create connections that reach beyond the visual—inviting you to pause, reflect, and maybe even see a little piece of yourself within them.
